Since its first edition in 2017, the African Animation Film Festival of Cameroon (CANIMAF) has established itself as a major event in the Cameroonian and African cultural landscape. Supported by the commitment and constant support of the French Institute of Cameroon in Yaoundé, CANIMAF has gained renown and quality over the years.

Previous editions have been marked by resounding success, thanks in particular to the unwavering support of loyal partners such as TV5 Monde, TIVI5, and many others. The festival has played a crucial role in promoting animation cinema in Cameroon, becoming the only event in Francophone Central Africa to showcase African creators and their animated works, while also providing an international platform for artists from other horizons.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 editions. The 2022 and 2023 editions could not be organized due to the unavailability of the organizing team. However, CANIMAF is proud to announce its grand return in 2024, with an edition that promises to be more spectacular than ever.

This year's theme, exact dates, and detailed program will be announced soon. Stay tuned for more information on the festival, which promises to be the major cultural event not to be missed in 2024 in Cameroon and beyond.

CANIMAF warmly thanks its audience, its partners, and all those who have contributed to making this festival a reference in African animation cinema. See you in 2024 for an unforgettable edition!
