Already the second edition!Already the second edition !here we go again !!!! Association Tous'Anime is launching the organization of the second edition of the Yaoundé African Animation Film Festival better known as "CANIMAF". This baby born last year (2017), the first and only event of its kind in Cameroon and Central Africa, will grow even more with an edition that promises to be particularly unique. Indeed, the increasingly obvious interest in the African animation sector, but also in related events, bodes well for many surprises.

Since most festivals are held on an annual basis, CANIMAF will not make any exceptions. In addition to the practical organizational issues, it is absolutely essential to give, through this animation festival, the reasonable and measured pace that will allow the rapid emergence of a competitive local animation industry.

This is why we will place this EDITION NUMBER 2 under the theme of "professionalization". The animated film is emerging on both sides of the African continent. With the apprenticeship now easily accessible through the Internet, many young creators have become directors and producers without any real professional conduct, due to the absence of specialized schools or training institutes. Even if by dint of forging, African and Cameroonian creators in particular are constantly seeking opportunities for sharing, training and improvement, capable of enriching their profession.

The ambition of this second edition is to offer festival-goers not only quality screenings, but also activities related to training and discovery. The aim is to create conditions for exchanges between aspiring professionals and proven internal or external expertise. It is in this sense that we wish, with the support of our loyal and potential partners, to enrich our programming by implementing educational activities.

But the festival will not only stop at these activities currently being planned, a whole series of activities involving the participation of schools will take place at the Cameronian French Institute-Yaoundé for 3 fabulous days, in order to provide a concrete response to the partners' stated expectation "to see hundreds of people rushing to the event venue, in the screening room".

The main features of this edition will therefore be based on the model already experienced in 2017, the public will be able to choose to take part in conferences and round tables, to participate in workshops led by invited professionals, we hope to see you in great numbers at this second edition of the CANIMAF Festival.

Guests While continuously seeking to contribute to training and to the reinforcement of capacities of experienced actors of the animation sector in Cameroon, the Festival will every year invite one or two professionals known to discuss with Cameroonian creators on the local difficulties linked to production in order to propose solution models that can easily be implemented.
